Canine Companions for Independence - Dean, Gerda, and Trixie are friends and supporters of CCI. CCI breeds and trains assistance dogs for persons with disabilities, at no charge to the disabled person! They rely on volunteers and donors to make this happen, so check them out and help if you can, they do truly great work.
The Book Carnival in Orange, CA - This is an excellent southern California Location to find special Dean Koontz books as well as other mysteries and thrillers, this is a mom & pop type of shop, but they always have an excellent collection, are very gracious, and host an occasional Koontz signing! (The book carnival is also mentioned in Dean's book, "False Memory" can you find it?)
